inter caste marriage procedure

Inter Caste Marriage – Special Marriage Act 1954 (Section 13) in India.

Inter-Caste marriage procedure is governed by the ‘Special Marriage Act, 1954′ and is common across the nation. Court marriage can be solemnised between two parties (belonging to the same or different nations) irrespective of their religion, caste or race.

However, it’s important to note that while Arya Samaj promotes inter-caste marriages, societal attitudes can still vary, and not all families or communities within Hinduism may readily accept such marriages. Inter-caste marriages might face resistance from more conservative elements within the society or family. But within the context of Arya Samaj’s teachings, inter-caste marriages are considered to be in alignment with their principles of social equality and unity.
